Will both www. and without it work for my domain?

Yes - with your hosting account, www.YourDomain.com and just YourDomain.com will work for your account.

Hosts and registrars seldom use www. when referring to a domain name, simply because in truth it's really NOT part of the domain name - but don't worry - www. will work.
